As a beginner who can afford a serger now. Would you advise I can get a serger or machine regular sewing? I have some sewing experience but I know little or nothing about sergers and / or sewing machines. Which is better? What would work for me if I decided to start a home business or fix just and sewing clothes for family and friends? Do I have to buy both? I know they have sewing machines with 43 points, 53 points and so on. How do you come to play? which is the best brand and quality in the market?

An overlock no margin for error. I had to boot many seams in recent years for several reasons. The overlock sews and cuts excess seam and overcast all in one step. I have a Bernina years seventy who sews everything, but how I wish it was a one-step buttonhole. The 4-step button holes makes them well if you only have one, but which are not uniform in size .. Visit sewing centers and request a demo or at least try. You do not need a lot of features, but zig-zag, overcast, blind hem and a one-step buttonholes are a necessity. Caro does not always mean better. I would suggest looking at moderate prices Sears Kenmore machines first.

I assume you mean "sew" stores. Since you do not know how to sew, take them into a dry cleaner that offers "adaptation" or "disorders." Be prepared to pay for it ... but perhaps what you paid for the pants.

Industrial machines are mainly single purpose machines; home machines typically sew a variety of stitches. And yes, if you're sewing for hours, you want that honking big table and the fabric handling ability of an industrial. And make sure it's the right height.

There are a few "portable industrials" around now, but that big bed really helps.

I searched for a bottom and top sheets of a bed child and can not find any without having to buy a bedding set that also includes the entire quilt.
